Setting Background Images
Overview
Requirements
For the best results use panoramic or 360 images (16:9 aspect ratio)
PNG and JPG are the only file types supported
Only one image can be set as the background at a time
Limitations
Vertical positioning of background images cannot be changed.
Background images cannot be saved as part of 3D Views.
Setting Background Images
To load a single model
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.Once you are inside the Viewer, open the Models panel.
Ensure that the Models Tab is in the Everything in project view, or switch the filtered view.
Click the Set as background image button (this option is only available for png and jpg files).
The image will be loaded as a background in the 3D view.
Rotate Background Images
Depending on your background, the model may appear to be floating in space. You can adjust this by rotating the image horizontally to better position the image and model.
Prerequisites
These instructions assume that you already have a background image loaded in Trimble Connect for Browser's 3D Viewer.
To rotate the background image
Open the Models panel.
Ensure that the Models Tab is in the Everything in project view filtered view.
Click the Overflow menu button next to your background image.
Click Rotate background image
A slider will appear in the 3D ViewAdjust the image by moving the slider.
