Line Markups

Overview

Line markups are used to draw lines on object surfaces to add information to a View. Create a View to share the markup with others.

  • The placement of the line markup can be edited after creation.

  • Line markup color can be changed after creation.

  • Line markup selected state is yellow.

Snapping Preferences

You can specify point, face or line snap preferences for line markups.

Add a Line Markup

To create the markup

  1. Load a model in Trimble Connect for Browser's 3D Viewer.

  2. On the toolbar, open the Markup Menu by clicking Markup Options.

  3. Activate the Line Markup tool.

  4. Pick the start point of the line by picking an object face/edge/corner.

  5. Pick the end point of the line by picking an object face/edge/corner.

Edit a Line Markup

Prerequisites

These instructions assume that you have already created a markup in Trimble Connect for Browser's 3D Viewer.

To edit the markup

  1. Select a markup you have created.

  2. The Edit Markup Toolbar will appear.

  3. Click and drag one of the end points to the desired location.

  4. Release the left mouse button.
